ABOUT

Our Lady of Peace Parish
Our Lady of Peace Parish is the home parish of the Meadow Lake Pastoral Cluster. In addition to serving Our Lady of Peace Parish, Fr. Doug also serves the faith communities located in the communities of Waterhen Lake and Green Lake. Our Lady of Peace Parish provides Fr. Doug with a residence, a garage, office and meeting space and resources enabling him to serve the other faith communities. The Parish records of the three communities are kept at the Parish Office in Meadow Lake.

Located in the community of Green Lake, St. Jude's Parish has been around for a long time. In fact it was the pastoral center for this area! Although the congregation is small right now our community has a generous heart! Come and see us! Come and pray with us!

Our Lady of the Smile Parish

Located in the lakeside community of Waterhen Lake, Our Lady of the Smile is a small and faithful community. Situated in the Waterhen Cree Nation this little Church prays together on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. We always have room for one or two more people. Do bring your singing voice so we can praise God in song, in word and in action!

These three communities comprise the Meadow Lake Cluster and together our desire is to build bridges between the Metis/Indigenous peoples and the non-Metis and non-Indigenous peoples. While the various peoples have lived and worked together for many years there is a need for reconciliation and healing. We are willing to take up the challenge and it is our hope that many will join us in the journey. In addition, together we celebrate the richness of the Roman Catholic faith and encourage one another to deepen our relationship with each other, with our Earth and with God. Our communities are enriched and nourished by the peoples and traditions of many different cultures and languages.
